Merry Christmas to you all!
Welcome to my new blog, starting today!
One more week and, voila! Christmas Eve! I love all the preparations. Decorating, cooking Swedish food. All the lights give a peaceful atmosphere to the home. It's actually really cold here in Arizona right now which makes it feel even more like Christmas. Cold in our mind is right above zero. Not like cold in Sweden. Not at all. But still - chilly!
Being a Christian, every day is Christmas! Every day I am reminded of what Jesus did on the cross. That he was born in a manger, coming from heaven down to us so that we could be born again and have eternal life. What a wonderful gift!
Have you said yes to Jesus yet? Is something holding you back? There's no other answer to your questions. Jesus is the answer. I used to sing a song by Andrae Crouch called Jesus is the answer. It's so simple that a lot of smart people miss it. You may have a Phd but do you know Jesus? Nothing wrong with higher education but many times it takes you further away from God.
What did you believe when you were a little child? Was it easier then to believe that there is a good God looking out for you?
Without Jesus there is no real life. There is merely existence. Your mind, your soul, your understanding is at work but the spirit inside is dead. We were not created to carry everything in our soul. That is why so many people are broken and wounded. The soul alone can't take it.
You were created in three parts. Spirit, soul and body. Your spirit is supposed to rule and your soul and your body is to follow. Not the other way around. The lowest kind of life is when a person is totally controlled by his or hers bodily desires. It can be addictions of different kinds; alcoholism, sex addiction.
God has a higher way.
Do you remember how you felt before puberty? When you were ten? How free you were?
Being born again puts everything in its right place. Your spirit gets new life directly from God through the Holy Spirit. You are free!! Not bound by anything. It's a wonderful life in Christ Jesus.
